In ordinary light, the jewel appears as fine jewellery should: precise, sculptural, balanced and beautifully made. Under ultraviolet light, another dimension appears. The stone begins to emit its own visible glow - most often blue, sometimes another colour - revealing a private luminosity held within the gemstone itself.

This is the power of fluorescence. It is natural. It is permanent. In diamonds, it is formed at the atomic level, deep within the stone. It is not a treatment, a coating, a modification or a special effect.

There are simply not enough beautifully fluorescing stones to satisfy the scale and standardisation required by the largest jewellery houses. These stones ask for more attention, more care and more knowledge.
